Melissa was one of the lucky students that drew out for tickets to this year's Red River Shootout--the traditional battle between UT and OU. She was so excited to be able to go. She and Erin Martinez got their tickets, painted their coolers, loaded her car and drove to Dallas for an excellent weekend of football and fun. What a lucky Longhorn!
The party started on Wednesday at the Torchlight Rally. Here is what Melissa considers "kind of the best photo I've ever taken".
You have to have an awesome cooler to haul your drinks to the game. The tradition is for the girls to paint the cooler and the guys to fill it. Melissa and Erin painted a cooler for each other and then filled them with Diet Coke. Here are pictures of the one Melissa recieved:

It was a very exciting game and the girls got to see their Horns beat up on the Sooners!
